Keys to Transfer Student Success

As you get ready to take the next step in your college career, we’re here to help you make a smooth transition into the University of Arizona College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences. Our recruiters, advisors, faculty, staff, and student peers provide the support, knowledge, experience, and occasionally, the extra push you need to achieve more than you may be able to imagine. With 20 majors with more than 30 different emphasis areas, we’re here to help you get the degree and the job you want.

At the University of Arizona, you’re considered a transfer student if you’ve completed 12 or more post-high school credits. If you’re a high school senior with dual enrollment, AP or fewer than 12 college credits, you’ll apply as an incoming freshman. As you get ready to transfer from a community college or other institution to the university, you’ll want to review the transfer pathway guides found on this page to determine which courses you’ve already taken will transfer. If your institution or courses are not listed, student academic specialists are available to evaluate your credits.

You'll also want to consider what scholarships and financial aid are available for transfer students. In addition to the university's transfer specific scholarships and other financial aid such as grants and loans, the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences offers more than $1 million in scholarships specifically for students in our majors each year.
